Online e-books

In addition to the Front Range Downloadable Collection, the library also has a collection of e-books that can be viewed online (but not downloaded). All cardholders have access to these e-books unless otherwise noted. Have your library card and PIN available. Online e-books for kids

  • Abdo
    Get connected to learning with nonfiction & fiction e-books for children from ABDO Publishing. An easy-to-use interface allows browsing by subject, grade level, or format.
  • Britannica
    Explore the updated online encyclopedia from Encyclopaedia Britannica with hundreds of thousands of articles, biographies, videos, images, and web sites. 
  • Sesame Street
    Enjoy our collection of over 150 e-books featuring your child's favorite Sesame Street characters and based on Sesame Street's early childhood curriculum. 

Online e-books for teens and adults

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library
    Hundreds of reference eBooks across a wide variety of topics.
  • Safari Tech Books
    A collection of over 2,000 technology-related eBooks from Safari's Beginning Programming and Consumer Technology libraries. Note: The library's subscription to this database does not include options for offline reading, 'add to bookshelf' or the Safari-to-go mobile app. Remote access: all Westminster residents.
  • Testing and Educational Reference Center
    Online practice exams, study guides and test-preparation books.

Maintenance schedule

Online services are briefly unavailable due to weekly maintenance between 9-10 p.m. on Thursday nights.

Reminder

Your library card and PIN is needed to access most remote library services. Your PIN is generally the last 4 digits of the phone number associated with your library card. Call 303-658-2601 if you need to verify your PIN. We will ask for your library card number, so please have it available.
