Glass Fusing

Create unique glass pieces for your home or for gifts. Supply fee includes a wide selection of glass, materials and multiple firings. Instructor: Erinn Diekman.

Aspen Scene
Customize your 8” x 8” aspen scene using fusible glass and glass elements. Project options include a food safe platter or window hanging. $25 supply fee due at class.

Monster-Face Platter
Your spooky fused glass monster-face dish will be the hit of your Halloween party. $25 supply fee due at class.

Dichroic Jewelry
Fashion your own jewelry using stunning fusible dichroic glass. Make approximately six pieces in class. $25 supply fee due at class.

Holiday Ornaments
Create ornaments to adorn your tree – they also make a great gift. Choose from a variety of designs or come with your own ideas. $25 supply fee due at class.

Hooked on Crochet

Discover the basics of crocheting or improve your skills. Learn to read patterns and try new stitches in this supportive environment. Instructor: Lois Weber.

Japanese Bunka Embroidery

Bunka is “Japanese Thread Painting,” a unique needlework art done with a punch needle and special thread from Japan. All supplies are purchased directly from the instructor. A beginner project costs approximately $55. No class Nov. 23. Instructor: Lois Weber.

Wrapped and Beaded Hoop Earrings
Do you love beads and wire? Explore the basics of wire wrapping and make bold and bright earrings, or delicate and refined ones—the choice is yours! $15 supply fee payable at class. Instructor: Caren Johannes.

Butterfly Circle Pendant
Capture the spirit of flight as you create a sparkling, simple wire-wrapped pendant with crystal butterflies. $15 supply fee includes tool rental, a large selection of beads and materials, wire, and supplies.

Wirework Cabochon Pendant
Create a setting for a stone using wire and classic wire-wrapping techniques in this fun class. Make a wire-wrapped pendant using stones and precious metal wire. $30 supply fee is payable to instructor Caren Johannes.

Knitting

Knitting for Beginners
Enjoy the therapeutic qualities of knitting while learning the basics—slip knot, cast on stitches, the knit stitch, and binding off. Work at your own speed in this supportive, encouraging and flexible atmosphere. Second class introduces purl and knot. Make a simple projects such as a scarf or headband. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell.

Knitting in the Round
Experience the advantages of using double pointed knitting needles which are great for knitting socks, hats and mittens. Working in the round does not require seaming. Prerequisite: beginning knitting class or previous experience. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell.

Sewing

Beginning
Start with the basics: fill a bobbin, thread the machine, change a needle, select stitches and lengths, and machine maintenance. Combine skills by making a simple pillowcase using two fabrics and a French seam. Start your own project the second day. Patterns and machine functions are covered. Bring a machine in good working order. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell.

Beginning Applique
Jazz up clothing, tea towels, pillowcases, and more! Using a sewing machine, applique stitch patterns, such as zigzag and fussy cut are explored. Learn to apply “Heat and Bond” and receive the help you need. Bring a machine in good working order and see supply list for details. $2 supply due at class. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell.

Stained Glass

Beginning Copper Foil
Let your light shine in glass as you make a small stained glass panel or box using the copper foil technique. $25 supply fee, payable the first day, includes use of tools, supplies, and glass. No class November 23. Join the fun! Instructor: Marva Moir.

Stained Glass Lab
Need extra time and the tools to work on uncompleted projects? The lab is open on a space-available basis during stained glass classes. Pre-requisite: completion of a stained glass class and ability to work on your own. No instruction provided. Bring glass or purchase on site. Wood Carving

From European chip carving to relief carving and carving-in-the-round, receive step-by-step instruction on using hand tools. Class focuses on individual projects with technical aid from the instructor. Experienced students can use the class as studio time. Instructor: Joseph Sikora.
