At their July 22 meeting, City Council recognized the Semper Drinking Water Treatment Facility, an unsung hero of the Westminster community, with a proclamation celebrating its 50th anniversary. The city’s Public Works and Utilities Department has been operating this facility since 1969 to provide Westminster businesses and families with reliable, high quality drinking water 24 hours a day, every day.
Community members are invited to see how the City of Westminster is serious about their water during tours of the Semper facility in August. This is a secure facility and registration is required.
