Patricia Moore - Council candidate

Name: Patricia (Pat) Moore

Occupation:  Retired

Other leadership positions & community involvement: Head Start Parent Representative to Meridian Ms. Naval Air Station, Girl Scout Leader for 4 years, State and County Latino Initiative, I have held several officers positions over a 40 years on the Political scene, way too many to list

  1. Why are you the most qualified person for this office? No one person is more qualified than the other.  We all bring to the table knowledge and experiences that will help Council to make decisions in the best interest of the residents.  I will bring patience, compromise and the willingness to listen and work together with residents that have passionate views on their issues.
  2. What is the most important issue facing Westminster and how will you address it? There is no one important issue because the issues are related;  like a domino effect growth, housing, water, traffic, business development and employment. Each issue affects the other. Therefore we collectively work with the city, residents, business community, homebuilders and developers, but Listen, Communicate and Compromise.
  3. What do you think the city does well and where do you see room for improvement? The City and Councilors of the past never imagined that we would ever have such growth. Present City Council is planning for the future. There needs to be transparency and dialogue with the Residents of those plans and issues.
  4. What is your favorite thing about living in Westminster? Recreation Centers,  Parks,  Libraries
