2019 report on drinking water quality now available

2019 report on drinking water quality now available

The city is proud to report another year of providing high quality drinking water, which met all of the Safe Drinking Water Act requirements.

Two city-owned water treatment facilities draw water from Standley Lake for filtration and disinfection before the water is delivered to homes and businesses. The city remains vigilant in meeting the goals of source water protection, water conservation and community education, while continuing to serve the needs of our water users.

Each year, thousands of water samples are collected and analyzed to ensure the treatment process is operating effectively and efficiently. The city summarizes the quality of the drinking water for the previous year in the Water Quality Report.

The 2019 report details the results of water testing performed in 2018 and provides additional information about our distribution system, source water protection and recommendations for conserving water.

Copies of the report will also be posted at city recreation centers and libraries, and provided to apartment complex managers for distribution to tenants upon request. Customers may request a paper copy of the report by calling 303-658-2461 or by emailing water@cityofwestminster.us.

The city’s water quality staff welcomes the opportunity to address any questions or comments about your drinking water.
