Small Business Spotlight: The Medusa Collective

Small Business Spotlight: The Medusa Collective

What is the Medusa Collective?

The Medusa Collective is a multifaceted creative space, located at 7140 Hooker Street in Westminster – just a few blocks from the B Line commuter rail and Westminster Station. This unique, creative complex just opened its doors in February 2022, and consists of three main components: art studios, an art gallery, and workshops.

How can you experience the Medusa Collective?

The Medusa Collective provides several opportunities for the community to immerse themselves in the arts; and while they do offer maker-space studios, you don’t have to be a practicing or professional artist to enjoy the experience.

The gallery -- where you can view the most current exhibit -- is open Monday through Thursday from 2pm to 5pm. The gallery exhibits rotate monthly, and this month highlights a collection of “minis” (or 10”x10” pieces). May’s exhibit – titled Fungi Kingdom – will feature a mycelium themed experience, while June will bring in the first solo exhibition with a show by local Denver artist, Molly Gardner. Be sure to check the Medusa Collective website regularly, as they are constantly updating and adding new events.

What if you want to get a hands-on art experience?

The Medusa Collective has a dedicated classroom for the sharing of knowledge, skills and trades. Monthly workshops will dive into a variety of subjects – from painting techniques, jewelry making, live figure drawing, digital skills, and more -- and will range from entry level classes, to weekend-long seminars.

Below is a list of the upcoming workshops for April and May. Again – be sure to check their website (https://themedusacollective.com/) regularly, and sign-up to stay in loop!
