Applications open for DRCOG Citizens' Academy

Applications for the Denver Regional Council of Government's (DRCOG) spring Citizens’ Academy are now open. Through the nationally recognized academy, participants learn from local experts and leaders, network with other residents and act on what they’ve learned.

Since 2007, more than 800 residents from around the region have completed the academy. DRCOG assumed control and management of the Citizens’ Academy, formerly a program of the Transit Alliance, in 2018.

Over the past decade, Citizens’ Academy has inspired and prepared numerous alumni to serve as elected officials, and hundreds of participants have gone on to positions in public agencies or nonprofit organizations that shape Colorado’s future.

The application period will close on Friday, March 8. The seven-week academy begins Thursday, April 4.
