City expands rec center offerings at City Park and West View Recreation Centers

Based on the success of previous recreation center reopenings, the city will open additional amenities at City Park and West View Recreation Centers starting Monday, Oct. 19.

City Park Recreation Center will open lap swimming. Each lap lane will have one swimmer at a time, unless they are from the same household, in which case two lap swimmers will be allowed.

The current channel/water walking feature will have a capacity of six participants at a time.

No other pool use, including the steam room, hot tub, sauna, wader pool or deep pool will be open during this initial reopening phase of the aquatics area.

West View Recreation Center will offer indoor fitness classes starting the week of October 19. Check out a schedule of classes, including Barre, Vinyasa Yoga and Zumba Gold.

Outdoor fitness classes currently offered at City Park will be phased out on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Reservations for swimming and fitness classes can be made online or by calling 303-658-2902.
