City Hall and Westminster Station continue to display schools' colors to congratulate seniors

City Hall and Westminster Station continue to display schools' colors to congratulate seniors

To honor graduating high school seniors in Westminster, the city has been lighting up both City Hall and Westminster Station in high schools' colors since May 16.

Parks, Recreation and Libraries and Community Development staff continue to coordinate the lighting in recognition of the City’s 2020 graduates. Arvada High School will be added to the lighting schedule at the request of Councillor Skulley. The updated details have been shared on social media to promote their achievement in the community.

"Under the current public health crisis, we know it hasn't been easy for the schools in our community to recognize and congratulate the amazing accomplishment these seniors have achieved," said City Manager Don Tripp. "By lighting up City Hall and Westminster Station in each high school's colors, we want to honor each and every one of them."

City Hall at 4800 West 92nd Ave. will be lit from approximately 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day and Westminster Station at 7000 Hooker St. will be lit from approximately 8 p.m. to midnight. We encourage students to drive by, look or stop and take photos.
