Free tenant legal help for qualifying residents

Qualifying low-income residents can receive free assistance through Colorado Legal Services (CLS) for issues related to unfair practices by landlords, or with legal assistance in eviction proceedings.

Westminster residents who reside in Adams County can access free legal help from CLS during the available times at their office locations. CLS will help and focus on eviction assistance for tenants. CLS also provides referral assistance to those with legal questions outside of landlord/tenant disputes.

There is no charge for the service. However, if the case goes to litigation, CLS may request reimbursement for litigation expenses, but only if the client can afford to reimburse CLS.
