Give your feedback on the Water 2025 project

In early 2018, the City of Westminster began the process of identifying the best location for a new drinking water treatment facility. The project, known as Water 2025, is driven by a systematic review process that incorporates technical and operational requirements as well as significant community engagement.

A new facility is needed to replace the city’s aging Semper Water Treatment Facility and ensure high-quality drinking water for our community now and into the future.

The city plans to have a site identified early this year so the new facility can be completed and operational by 2025.

While a final site for the drinking water facility has not yet been chosen, through the technical review process two potential locations are under consideration

The Water 2025 team is seeking community input to prioritize important characteristics of the facility site. Please take this short community survey to let us know what’s most important to you. The survey will stay open until Friday, April 19.

An Open House will also take place on Tuesday, April 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at City Park Recreation Centers. Get details

Our safe and reliable drinking water system is one of the city’s greatest assets. We are fortunate to enjoy a high-quality supply of Rocky Mountain water, but we need to responsibly plan for the needs of future generations so our children can enjoy the same quality of life we do today.
