Jefferson County and the Tri-County Health Department issue Stay at Home orders - Rescinded March 26

UPDATE: The counties orders were rescinded on Thursday, March 26 after the State of Colorado issued its own Stay at Home order and public health order.

On Wednesday, March 25, Jefferson County Public Health and the Tri-County Health Department issued public health Stay at Home orders asking residents to stay at their place of residence, unless they are providing or seeking essential services. The intent of the order is to slow the spread of COVID-19 to the greatest extent possible while continuing essential services and travel necessary to protect public health.

The orders are in effect on Thursday, March 26, at 8 a.m. and last until Friday, April 17 at midnight.

The City of Westminster includes both Jefferson and Adams County, with Adams a member of the Tri-County Health Department.

Tri-County Health and Jefferson County consulted with the city and other municipalities in advance of this order. The city was engaged with the process and supports efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 within the region.

The orders say that people may leave their residences only for essential activities or to operate essential businesses.

Essential businesses include health care operations, grocery stores, gas stations, banks, restaurants for take-out or delivery, and more. Read the orders for specific business categories.

Essential activities include performing medical-related tasks, shopping to maintain the essential operation of residences, engaging in outdoor activities with social distancing and other limited activities. Read the orders for specific activities.

The orders still encourage social distancing of six-feet and practicing good hygiene to limit the spread of COVID-19.

El Condado Jefferson y el Departamento de Salud Tri-County emiten orden para quedarse en casa

El miércoles, 25 de marzo, El Condado Jefferson y el Departamento de Salud Tri-County emitieron una orden que pide a los residentes que se queden en casa, al menos que estos proveen servicios esenciales. El propósito de esta orden es desacelerar la propagación del coronavirus (COVID-19) y proteger al público mientras se continúa proveyendo servicios esenciales.

La orden entrara en efecto el jueves, 26 de marzo a las 8 a.m., y terminara el viernes, 17 abril a la medianoche.

La Ciudad de Westminster pertenece a dos condados, Jefferson y Adams, y este ultimo es parte de el Departamento de Salud Tri-County.
