READogs program featured on 9NEWS

On Monday, Feb. 4, 9NEWS visited College Hill Library to learn about the city's READog program.

The Reading Education Assistance Dogs program utilizes the companionship of certified therapy animals to build and encourage children's love of books and the reading environment, and provides an opportunity for them to practice the full range of communication skills.

Research indicates that positive experiences like this lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning, and a higher quality life. This is one of the many exciting services the Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department is proud to offer the community. View the article or watch the video below.
