Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Start By Believing campaign

City Manager Don Tripp recently talked with Mayor Pro Tem Anita Seitz and Victim Services Coordinator Drew Hogan about how April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The statistic that one in four women and one in 13 men experience sexual assault is staggering. The City of Westminster wants to raise awareness of this issue, and is a part of the national Start by Believing campaign.

Visit the Start by Believing Westminster web site and make the pledge that when someone tells you that they have been raped or sexually assaulted, you will start by believing.

Community partners who can help victims find more resources include The Wings FoundationRalston House and The Blue Bench.
