One Book Westminster
January - April | Various Times | Multiple Locations

One Book Westminster brings together Westminster’s diverse community through the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book. Join us in reading White Horse by Erika T. Wurth—for fans of Mexican Gothic and The ShiningWhite Horse is a gritty, vibrant debut from Wurth about an Urban Native woman who must face her past when she discovers a bracelet haunted by her mother’s spirit.

Partner Event: Hyland Hills Easter Egg Hunt
March 30 | 9 a.m.  | Carroll Butts Park (4201 W 94th Ave.)

Join us for Hyland Hills Parks & Recreation’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at Carroll Butts Park!

Children 8 years and younger can come out for a fun morning hunting for eggs and snapping photos with the Easter Bunny. There will also be the chance to win a new bicycle and helmet in each age group!

This event is FREE and the hunt starts promptly at 9am. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to be ready for the hunt!

 

 

 

 


Adult Egg Hunt

Great Global Cleanup
April 20 | 8a.m. - 1p.m.  | Various Locations

Join volunteers all over the world in a large-scale trash cleanup! Celebrate Earth Day by spring cleaning Westminster and the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District. The City provides supplies and disposal of trash bags.

To thank participants, a volunteer celebration BBQ will be held at CIty Park Rec Center.All ages welcome!

Spring Pottery Sale

Shop for unique, hand-crafted pottery created by students and staff at the City Park Pottery Studio. Bring your shopping bag and be sure to stop by! Admission is a non-perishable food donation for the Westminster Food Bank. We'll see you there!

Armed Forced Day Ceremony
May 18 | 10-11 a.m. | Armed Forces Tribute Garden

Celebrate Armed Forces Day and honor those who serve our nation. The ceremony includes patriotic music, flag presentation, 21-gun salute, keynote speaker, reading of the names of all new brick honorees, and unveiling the new Marine statue.

Westminster’s Armed Forces Tribute Garden honors those who serve in the Armed Services. Personalized, engraved bricks are available to all service men and women. Visit www.tributegarden.org.
