Colorado's First Golf Preserve!

Home to more than 77 wildlife species as well as a staggering variety of native plants, Walnut Creek Golf Preserve is more than just a golf course—we’re an Audubon Certified Signature Sanctuary. Our 215 acres are sustainably managed to preserve and support wildlife habitat. Founded in 1999, this award-winning championship course offers the most natural and unspoiled public golf experience in Colorado. Our sweeping mountain views, gently rolling hills, and abundance of wild prairie grasses allow you to experience golf the way nature intended.

Certified Bronze Audubon International Signature Sanctuary

The Audubon International Signature Program is an environmental education and assistance program created to help landowners and managers to follow sustainable resource management principles in a comprehensive manner when developing and then managing properties. The program aims to add and integrate wildlife conservation, habitat restoration and enhancement, water conservation and water quality protection and other areas of environmental protection and improvement with the other objectives for new developments. The Signature Programs' long term goal is to foster a stewardship ethic that leads landowners and mangers, consultants and the community to consider environmental, rather than just economic, costs and benefits in their decision making and to apply these environmental values routinely in land management. Walnut Creek Golf Preserve became certified as the second of only two certified projects in Colorado on Oct. 30, 2002. The City of Westminster continues to maintain the facility at standards of the Signature Program.
