Judge Tiffany Sorice

Presiding Judge

Judge Tiffany Sorice was appointed presiding judge in June 2017 after serving as associate judge from January 2016. From 2006 to 2016, she served as a prosecutor with the Adams and Broomfield County District Attorney's Office, where she retired as chief trial deputy district attorney. Prior to that, she had her own law practice and served as a public defender for the State of Colorado. 

Judge Sorice received her bachelor’s degree in 1996 from the University of Tulsa and her law degree in 1998 from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Jefferson County Bar Association, Colorado Women’s Bar Association and Colorado Municipal Judge’s Association.

Judge Sorice is a former high school mock trial coach for Westminster High School. She is a former chairman of the board for the non-profit organization Access Housing, current board member for the Colorado Municipal Judges Association and Jefferson Academy Board of Directors. In 2019, Judge Sorice traveled to Bangladesh on behalf of the National Center for State Courts to train judges around the country in the Strengthening the Rule of Law program. 

Judge Sorice lives in Westminster with her husband and four daughters.

 

Associate Judge

Judge Jason Lantagne first joined the City of Westminster as an assistant city prosecutor in 2017 and was appointed as the associate judge in May 2020. Prior to joining the city, Judge Lantagne attended law school at the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law and spent two summers with the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in Alaska and Yellowstone National Park.

After graduating with honors, Judge Lantagne served as a deputy district attorney for El Paso and Teller counties in both county and district courts. Later, he joined a civil practice in Denver where he focused on complex litigation in state and federal courts. While in private practice, Judge Lantagne also maintained an active pro bono criminal defense case load of misdemeanor and felony cases.

Judge Lantagne is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Adams County Bar Association and Colorado Municipal Judges Association. Originally from northern Vermont, Judge Lantagne has lived in Colorado since 2008 and spends his free time enjoying the great outdoors with his wife.
