Distribution System Master Meter R&R Project

Project Update: Over 88% Complete

The city is replacing master meters and meter vaults that are reaching the end of their useful life at nine locations throughout the city. Construction is on schedule with two master meter vault installations completed and two more underway. The nine master meter locations are listed below.

Site 1 – (Completed) Westminster Commons, 3170 W. 76th Ave.: The new meter and vault are installed and in service. Concrete replacement, landscape repairs, and final site cleanup are in progress, weather permitting.

Site 2 – (Completed) Westminster Early Childhood Center, 8030 S. Irving St: Concrete replacement, landscape repairs, and final site cleanup are in progress, weather permitting.

Site 3 – (Completed) Mountain Terrace Apartments, 3650 W. 84th Ave.

Site 4 – (Completed) Silo Townhomes, W. 89th Avenue and Carr Street. Concrete replacement, landscape repairs, and final site cleanup are in progress, weather permitting.

Site 5 – (Completed) Silo Townhomes, W. 90th Avenue and Barley Lane.  Concrete replacement, landscape repairs, and final site cleanup are in progress, weather permitting.

Site 6 – (Completed) Madison Hills, West 92nd Avenue and Eaton Street.  The work on 92nd Avenue is complete.  Site restoration and/or landscape repair work will occur as weather permits.

Site 7 – (Completed) Wildflower at the Ranch, Federal Boulevard and W. 119th Avenue. Site restoration and/or landscape repair work will occur as weather permits.

Site 8 – (Completed) Super 8 Motel, 12055 Melody Drive: Site restoration and/or landscape repair work will occur as weather permits.

Site 9 – (Resumes May 6 after numerous utility conflicts) Casa Estates, W. 132nd Avenue and Huron Street.

You can expect some or all of the following during construction in your area.

  • Work Hours: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Construction Equipment: yes
  • Construction Noise: yes
  • Traffic Control: temporary lane closures anticipated
  • Sanitary Service Outages: none anticipated
  • Site Restoration: landscaping will be restored. Full restoration will likely take 8 to 12 months
  • Water Outages: temporary outages of 4-6 hours anticipated. 24 hour advance notification will be provided
