West 72nd Avenue to Little Dry Creek Drainage near West 64th Avenue - Utilities Replacement Project

Project Details

The City of Westminster Public Works and Utilities Department is replacing a sanitary sewer interceptor in south Westminster that serves the southern third of the city. Most of this pipeline work will occur outside of roadways, so traffic disruption will be limited. However, a number of trails along Little Dry Creek will be required to be closed during construction for pedestrian safety.

The sewer replacement project will enhance the reliability and maintain a high level of service for the sewer system and it provides capacity for city growth. It is the final phase of a four part project that upgrades the sewer system and is funded from the Utility System Capital Improvement fund.

Update

Public Works and Utilities will be installing a sewer main in Elk Drive located east of Raleigh Street and the work will require full closure of Elk Drive starting early on Tuesday, April 9 and extending through Friday, April 19. A detour will be provided along Lowell Blvd and 72nd Avenue and a traffic control plan is attached for reference. Local access will be provided to businesses in the area.
