The Personnel Board hears and determines appeals brought by city employees on matters of suspension, demotion and dismissal. The board conducts appeal proceedings, acting as a fact finder reaching a decision, and makes recommendations to the city manager while preserving the rights and dignity of all who come before the board. The board meets on an as-needed basis, at least two times per year.
