Councillor Seymour was elected to serve on the City Council in 2019. 

Seymour is a Colorado native and graduate of Northglenn High School and the University of Northern Colorado where he met his wife, Shelly. They have three children and have lived in Westminster since 1991. 

Seymour has served the Westminster community as an independent owner of Westminster’s Farmers Insurance Agency for nearly two decades. In addition to being a small business owner, Seymour is an active leader in business and professional organizations including the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Westminster Chamber of Commerce, Westminster Historical Society, Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation, Westminster Rotary Club, and the Rotary Foundation. 

Seymour was also an active volunteer in the Standley Lake High School community where his children attended school. Seymour served on the Career and Technical Education Committee, the After-Prom Committee, Athletic Booster Sub-Committee, and as the announcer for Standley Lake High School’s baseball team, he was the “Voice of Gator Baseball.” Councillor Seymour was recognized by the APEX Parks and Recreation District’s Distinguished Service Award for his service on the Board of Directors and as a baseball coach. Seymour is also a proud graduate of the Westminster Citizens Fire and Police Academy.
