Comprehensive Plan and Development Code update

This past summer and fall, the first phase of public engagement for Westminster Forward commenced with public events, online surveys and presentations focused on updating the Comprehensive Plan and revising the city’s land development-related regulations and design standards into a Unified Development Code.

A summary of public outreach received with these first phases has been added to the Westminster Forward webpage. Recent working documents for discussion purposes related to development procedures and design standards have been added to the Unified Development Code webpage, as well as a summary of design variables resulting from two online surveys (with a combined 370 responses) and the results from participation at the Halloween Harvest Festival where 2,081 individual votes were made on the design preferences exercise.

Work on these projects will continue through 2019 with completion in the first half of 2020. Work will be integrated with efforts to establish master plans for Parks, Recreation and Libraries; Transportation and Mobility; Sustainability; and Water Supply.
