Floral Design & Decor Workshops

All workshops below have a $15 supply fee due at class.

Create collages, photos, and scrapbooking albums of people we love and perhaps lost. Incorporate favorite colors, flowers, leaves, and other elements that remind us of loved ones.

Save flowers from your garden or a nature walk to make dried arrangements and postcards. You can also bring dried arrangements that need to be refreshed.

Spice is Nice
Add the special ingredient of spices to your floral arrangements to make special gifts. Add various teas and other spices that are healthy for mind and body.

Door Décor for the Holidays
Create a centerpiece, door swag, or wreath. Customize to any holiday.

Crystal Chain Necklace with Pendant
Create a delicate, elegant necklace and earring set using chain, wire, crystal beads and focal piece. $20 supply fee (supplies/tool rental). Instructor: Caren Johannes

Wire Wrapped Pendant

Japanese Bunka
Bunka is needlework art done with a punch needle and special thread from Japan. Enjoy this relaxing fiber form while creating unique artwork. All Bunka supplies are purchased directly from the instructor – a beginner project costs approximately $55.  Instructor: Lois Weber.

Knitting - Beginner/Refresher
Learn to knit a simple square that will propel you into the wonderful world of yarn, needles and patterns. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell

Quilting - Beginning
Explore the fundamentals of quilting in an encouraging atmosphere. Learn about fabric selection and preparation, sewing a basic block, seams, assembling, borders, layering and binding. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell

Sewing – Beginning
Start with the basics: filling a bobbin, threading the machine, changing a needle, selecting stitches and lengths, and machine maintenance. Learn about reading patterns, types of stitches, seams, working with different
fabrics and more. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell

Sewing - Hem and Mend
Bring jeans, skirt, dress, or slacks that need shortening. Learn basic mending skills, how to patch, and prevent future fabric misfortunes. Instructor: Mary Anne Getchell


Wood Carving
From European chip carving to relief and carving-in-the-round, receive step-by-step instruction on using hand tools. Class focuses on individual projects with technical aid from the instructor. $8 supply fee for new students payable to instructor. Experienced students can use the class as studio time.
