General information

  • Ages: 6-13 (must have completed kindergarten). All campers swim two days each week.
  • With the exception of the City Park Rhinos, all groups are available Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Weekly and daily registration options available. See fees and options below.
  • Youth Camp field trips are every Thursday.
  • Preteen/teen field trips are every Tuesday and Thursday.
     

The city offers three summer camp sites:

City Park Recreation Center - 10455 Sheridan Blvd.

Four age groups are offered at City Park

  • Monkeys: 6-7 years old
  • Giraffes: 8-9 years old
  • Rhinos: 12-13 years old
  • Cheetahs: 10-11 years old
  • Rhinos: 12-13 years old
    • Monkeys and Giraffes swim on Tuesday and Friday with field trips on Thursday.
    • Cheetahs swim on Monday and Wednesday with field trips on Tuesday and Thursday.
    • Rhinos only come to camp Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Registration is only available for weekly options. Rhinos swim with Cheetahs on Wednesday and go on field trips with Cheetahs on Tuesday and Thursday.
Countryside Park & Pool- 10470 Oak St.

Two age groups are offered at Countryside

  • Velociraptors: 6-9 years old
  • Spinosaurus: 10-13 years old
    • Velociraptors swim on Tuesday and Friday with field trips on Thursday.
    • Spinosaurus swim on Monday and Wednesday with field trips on Tuesday and Thursday.
Westminster Academy for International Studies (WAIS) - 7482 Irving St.

Two age groups are offered at WAIS

  • Pups: 6-9 years old
  • Wolves: 10-13 years old
    • Pups swim on Tuesday and Friday with field trips on Thursday.
    • Pups go to Irving Street Library on Monday.
    • Wolves swim on Monday and Wednesday with field trips on Tuesday and Thursday.
    • Wolves go to Irving Street Library on Friday. Additional enrichment activities for all age groups are also available at WAIS.

 

Registration

  • Weekly registrations begin on Monday, Jan. 6 and must be completed in person at a recreation center or over the phone (must be enrolling for four or five days per week).
  • Daily registrations begin Monday, April 1, provided space is available, and can be completed in person, over the phone or online.
  • All groups have daily and weekly registration options with the exception of the Rhinos, which must register for weekly sessions.
  • Full Refunds are available from the time of registrations through Wednesday, March 25. After March 26, only half refunds are possible. Cancellations are allowed but refunds will only be given if cancellation notice is given at least two weeks prior to the date being cancelled.

  • There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee paid at time of registration.

Weekly Fee

  • Youth: $170 resident, $200 non-resident
  • Pre-teen: $195 resident, $230 non-resident
  • Rhinos: $135 resident, $162 non-resident

Daily Fees - Youth

  • Non-Field Trip Days: $37 resident, $43 non-resident
  • Field Trip Days: $42 resident, $48 non-resident

Daily Fees – Pre-Teen

  • Non-Field Trip Days: $42 resident, $47 non-resident
  • Field Trip Days: $47 resident, $53 non-resident

Payment plans available for any registration exceeding $1,000. Please call Cindy at 303-658-2219 or Seth at 303-658-2200.


Funding is also available through CCAP. Please contact your county for information on qualification. If you are interested in using CCAP, please contact Cindy or Seth and your county as early as possibly. This process has a tendency to be lengthy and can be complicated.
