Christmas Tree Recycling 

Drop Off: Dec. 24 through Jan. 21, City Park Fitness Center, 10475 Sheridan Blvd., lower parking lot. Bare Christmas trees (please remove plastic bags, tree stands and all decorations) may be dropped off. The trees are recycled into mulch for use by residents and city crews. Pick Up: Boy Scout troop 484 provides curb-side pick up on Saturdays, Dec. 30, and Jan. 6, as their annual fundraiser. Call 303-706-3389 to schedule a tree pick up.

Residents are encouraged to recycle their tree limbs to reduce landfill use and provide valuable mulch. Limb chipping and free mulch are available for Westminster residents.

Now open year round on the second Saturday of the month, from 8 a.m. to noon.


Westminster residents only
Please bring proof of Westminster residency, such as Driver License, Colorado I.D. showing Westminster address, utility bill, rent receipt, or mortgage statement.

What can you bring
Tree limbs can be any length, but must be less than eight-inches in diameter. Loads must be covered or tied down.
Shrubs are allowed if the root ball has been removed. 
No contractors.
No construction materials, bags of leaves or grass clippings.

Inclement weather
The limb recycling/mulch pickup could be closed due to inclement weather and excessive moisture. Check the Event Calendar or call 303-658-2201 for cancellation/rescheduling information.

Off-loading of tree limbs is self-serve.

Free mulch is available ONLY on the second Saturday of the month while the supply lasts. Call 303-658-2201 for mulch availability. Mulch can be self-loaded into your containers or staff can load mulch into the back of your pickup. The city is not liable for any vehicle damages while loading mulch.
