Westminster Parks, Recreation & Libraries manages 2,910 acres of parks; 3,700 acres of open space; more than 120 miles of trails; seven recreation facilities; two championship golf courses; two libraries; numerous community events; and a multitude of programs for individuals of all ages, abilities, and interests.

Westminster Parks, Recreation and Libraries is a three-time winner of the prestigious National Recreation and Parks Association Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management (1990, 1998, 2005). This award honors communities throughout the U.S. that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, fiscal resource management, citizen support systems, environmental stewardship, preservation, technological integration, program planning and assessment, professional development, and agency recognition.
