Westminster Boulevard Bicycle Lane Improvements Project

Project Information:

The Westminster Boulevard mobility project is taking advantage of the near-term repaving of the street to facilitate striping of an on-street buffer bike lane within the existing curb-to-curb width of the street between 92nd Avenue and 98th Avenue. Westminster Boulevard will maintain two travel lanes and center turn lanes to provide vehicular connection to adjacent neighborhoods. This project is part of the Downtown Westminster Mobility Study and the Mobility Action Plan.

Benefits:

This project will provide key cycling connections to other bike facilities such as the U.S. 36 Bikeway and the 98th Avenue buffer bike lanes. The advantages of a buffered bike lane design is that it provides a more protected and comfortable space for cyclists than a conventional bike lane.
