Westminster Public Library serves the needs of all community members from early literacy to lifelong learning. Westminster residents of all ages and groups will find City of Westminster Libraries to be a dynamic, responsive environment that works to meet their cultural, informational, intellectual, and social needs.

The library has recently added additional services to fulfill social needs in the community:

  • Living Well Showers (Suspended until March-shower truck is being serviced, and it's too cold!)
    Mondays, 9 a.m. to noon., Irving Street Library
    Living Well Showers are a series of four fully functioning shower bays built into a mobile trailer and supplied with resources needed for community members to experience a free, warm and satisfying shower. Showers are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Laundry Truck
    First Monday of each month (as temperatures permit), 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Irving Street Library
    The Laundry Truck is run by the Bayaud Enterprises. Folks can drop off up to two 10 pound bags of dirty clothes and bedding. There are six washers and dryers which can do up to 30 loads while at Irving St. Washing and drying a load takes about 1.5 hours.
  • Tri-County Health HIV and Hepatitis C Testing
    Tri-County Health Department offers no-cost Rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing for those who meet risk criteria. Testing and prevention services include PrEP screening, counseling, and navigation, as well as free safe sex materials like condoms, lube, and dental dams.
  • Adams County-Department of Economic Security and Aging Referrals
    Representatives from Adams County provide information on state and federal assistance programs including: Food Assistance (SNAP), Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program), Colorado Works (TANF), Child Care (CCAP), Low Income Energy Assistance (LEAP), Adult Financial Programs (Old Age Pension & Aid to the Needy Disabled) and Adult Protection Services.
  • Free Legal Help for Tenants
    Irving Street Library, call 720-595-4379 for appointment.
    Qualifying low-income residents can receive free assistance through Colorado Legal Services (CLS) for issues related to unfair practices by landlords, or with legal assistance
    in eviction proceedings.
