Summer Reading Program: A Universe of Stories

June 1 – July 28
Discover “A Universe of Stories” all summer long with Westminster Public Libraries. Everyone can join the summer reading program. Earn prizes by participating in weekly contests, reading, and attending library programs. Register online today. Pick up your log and keep track of your reading beginning June 1 .

We invite beginner and struggling readers to gain confidence by sitting and reading to one of our gentle therapy dogs and its owner. Bring your own book, or choose one of ours. Drop in and sign up at the Children's Desk when you arrive. AGES: Kindergarten-5th grade.

Growing Readers Together

Fridays, 10-11 a.m., Irving Street
This program is for those who care for children under the age of six in informal settings, such as neighbors who provide home childcare, grandparents, and others caring for young children. At this weekly program caregivers and children meet others, gain new tips for teaching early literacy skills, and receive FREE giveaways and materials to use in their childcare home. AGES: Birth through 5

Book Buddies

Third Wednesdays, 4-5 p.m., Irving Street
It’s a book club just for kids. Enjoy read aloud, games, crafts, and refreshments. You’ll hear about exciting new books for kids. You do not have to read the book prior to attending. AGES: 5-11. Upcoming titles:
